Watering Instructions
Newly planted trees and shrubs require regular and consistent watering until root systems establish.
- First week: Water daily
- Second and third week: water every 2-3 days
- Fourth to eighth week: water every 4-5 days
- Continue to water weekly, or more frequently depending on drought conditions
Trees should get 4-5 gallons of water per watering, apply water directly over the root ball.
Shrubs should get 2-4 gallons per watering
Perennials should be kept moist for 2 weeks
Remember, mulch maximizes water uptake as it decreases water evaporation and insulates soil.
Lawns should be watered/irrigated daily. For best results use a sprinkler and adjust every 15 minutes to reach all areas.
Morning is the best time for watering!
